Liaison Forum
How has the position of the liaison and self operator changed over the past several years? People who concentrate solely on food are now few and far between. The recent financial crisis led many to consolidate responsibilities and now we wear more hats than ever before. In this ever changing environment, how can you be sure that your senior leadership recognizes what you bring to your employer? Are you giving your leadership the right information and measurement tools so they can accurately assess both you and the services you manage? In the past, liaison's and self operators typically spoke in food service specific language with check averages, participation rates etc. To be successful today, you must also make sure you are tying your performance to your employer's goals - ie sustainability, reduced spend, health and wellness, improved technology, real estate strategy retention, employee satisfaction etc. Both your success and the success of your program are linked, how do you make sure that you are viewed as more than the "food person" but as a skilled professional with varied assets that can be applied to many services if called upon. We will explore:

Hunger Awareness Walk: Wilderness Lodge
A quick boat ride on Bay Lake will drop you at the Wilderness Lodge and the start of the 2010 Hunger Awareness Walk to help fight hunger – your donation will be used to help the local area foodbank. Explore the flora and fauna of the backwoods along the meandering pathways of the Wilderness Lodge Trail and if you are lucky you may even catch the eruption of Fire Rock Geyser, fashioned after Yellowstone National Park's Old Faithful, with its plume of water jetting 120 feet into the air. |

President’s Banquet: American Adventure Rotunda, Epcot
Much like our fore fathers before us, its time to pass the gavel, from 2010 President, Ann McNally to our incoming 2011 president. The art will not only be on your plate with the culinary gastronomy that is planned but you will also experience some of the finest colonial architecture, featuring soaring domed ceilings and stately white columns in the American Adventure Rotunda. And heck, you can even gaze at 11 countries while you are here and you don't even need a passport.

Sweet Endings Dessert Party: Isle de France, Epcot
Be transported across the Atlantic and travel the streets of Paris and the provinces of France during an era known as La Belle Epoque, or "the beautiful time." Beautiful gardens, quaint shops and architecture full of character, along with a scaled-down replica of the Eiffel Tower. Delectable desserts and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth – a fireworks, laser and water show. This party would even have made Napoleon take his hand out of his jacket – MAGNIFIQUE!
